The Dada movement had a presence in New York City, and this design drew inspiration from its nonsensical ideology, particularly the Berlin-based journal Der Dada. These journals experimented with typography and photo collages, influencing the composition. Tiffany & Co.’s history of producing military weapons and badges was reflected in the proceeds memo. The neutral palette featured off-black text on a tinted base, with a pop of Tiffany Blue—akin to how red was used in Der Dada No. 3. To honor Dada’s collage style, PNG images of a 1918 Tiffany watch and a torn-edge photo of the 1918 Tiffany building enhanced the composition.
